On matchday 12 of the 1992/93 season, Andreas Köpke was frustrated during the game against 1. FC Köln. After Hansi Dorfner had already missed his penalty in the shootout, "Andy" decided to take one himself. His opponent was none other than Bodo Illgner, his rival for the number 1 spot in the national team.
